% Arabica, BSD City The Breeze, Jakarta – Indonesia

Project description

BSD City, located south of Jakarta, is part of an organic urban plan that integrates nature and has been expanding rapidly in recent years. The large glass façade, 7-meter-high ceiling, and mezzanine overlooking the first floor create a sense of unity throughout the space. This design seamlessly connects the mezzanine floor with the first floor through a continuous wooden plank, blending the wall of the first floor with the mezzanine floor into one cohesive element. This also has the effect of announcing the presence of mezzanine seating for customers from the outside. The wooden plank, which are softly connected as if a breeze is passing through, serve as a backdrop for the barista serving coffee and the guests enjoying their drinks, enhancing the overall impression of the space and creating a scene that is part of the organic urban planning that incorporates nature, making it an appropriate space for a café rooted in the community.
