Nestled in the heart of Alphington, Decca offers a 80-seating all-day restaurant and wine bar that blends Asian and Italian culinary traditions into a vibrant lifestyle destination. Project was completed in early 2025. The design vision centres on creating a warm, inviting atmosphere that reflects the neighbourhood’s friendly, community-oriented spirit. From morning coffee to evening wine, the space adapts seamlessly to offer an experience that is both casual and refined.
The design choice of the interior promotes a warmer lighting experience with dimmable strip lighting and decorative wall lights along the banquette seating. To evoke the sense of calmness, the finish is presented with subtle texture and depth. These finishes support minimalist aesthetic to enhance the timber grain through various medium such as the European Oak flooring with rustic knots, the colonial architraves and Balmoral skirting stained to match the Florentine Walnut laminate board.
Beyond the daily service, a generous event space anchors the venue as a local hub for celebration. Designed to accommodate special occasions—from intimate gatherings to large-scale events—the layout is flexible and highly considered, with acoustic and lighting details tailored for diverse uses.
This project not only reimagines the suburban hospitality typology but also celebrates cultural diversity through spatial storytelling. Every detail—from materiality to layout—supports a holistic dining experience that is grounded in comfort, authenticity, and connection.
