El Patron, Sydney – Australia

Project description

El Patron, a vibrant Mexican-inspired restaurant, brings a taste of festive flair to Sydney’s culinary scene. This establishment promises an unforgettable dining experience. With its rich cultural influence, El Patron is poised to transport patrons on a gastronomic journey. The modern ambiance, thoughtfully crafted by a skilled project team, boasts an impressive building design with multiple levels.
The clients wanted a vibrant and fun venue that features hints of Mexican culture. Curved features are used throughout the project to frame spaces and pay homage to Mexican architecture and design.
The venue features a 360-degree bar that serves as the focal point, private booths are provided on both sides of the bar. The alfresco area provides a casual dining area and an additional bar. The space is able to be transformed at night if live performances were being held at the venue.
Fluted jade marble was used along the face of the bar to reflect the curves featured in the project. The intersecting curved ceiling creates an interesting space and frames certain dining area. Plaster lined walls and stucco finishes were used to provide a natural and rustic to finish to the space. These materials also reflect the use of cement render in Mexican architecture.
