The first concept store of Sugarbar is conceived as a spatial manifestation of the brand’s narrative and its distinctive homemade products. Infused with pastel tones, brass accents, and bespoke furnishings, the interior transforms the colors, shapes, and textures of cakes, desserts, and cupcakes into cabinets, shelves, and countertops, establishing a cohesive and immersive identity. Stainless steel details in gold and custom-designed lighting further enrich the space, balancing refinement with playful charm.
The open-plan layout integrates functional zones—including packaging, a vault, coffee and cake displays, and customer seating—interconnected through permeable, custom-designed partitions. These partitions operate as both spatial dividers and brand conveyors, reflecting the artisanal quality of Sugarbar through their materials and geometries. Gentle curves, illuminated displays, and layered textures introduce a sense of whimsy and tactility, while curated elements—from vibrant shelving to plush seating—add warmth, character, and comfort.
Natural light is thoughtfully harnessed, interacting with reflective surfaces and subtle metallic accents to produce a dynamic interplay of shadow and glow throughout the day. Layered artificial lighting further accentuates textures, highlights sculptural furniture, and enhances the spatial narrative. The restrained exterior façades allow glimpses into the interior, creating moments of surprise and inviting visitors to explore the story within.
By blending nostalgic references with contemporary sensibilities, the design delivers a spatial experience that is both luxurious and playful, transforming the interior into a living gallery where every corner evokes curiosity, delight, and a memorable encounter with the brand’s identity.
