Located on Av. Pedro de Osma, in the heart of Barranco’s monuments, Viva Lima reinterprets the tradition of Lima’s taverns of yesteryear with a contemporary look. The interior design project celebrates the memory of Old Lima and projects it into the present, building an atmosphere where history, identity and modernity coexist.
Inspired by the hallways of the ranch-style mansions of Barranco, the design explores the essence of those spaces of transit and meeting. The tile floors, wooden furniture and intentionally worn walls transmit the patina of time, becoming material witnesses of a Lima that resists in the collective memory.
The dim and indirect lighting recreates the warmth of the dimly lit lanterns that once marked the pulse of Lima’s streets. In contrast, the neon flashes awaken the cosmopolitan pulse of today’s city, generating a vibrant dialogue between the nostalgic and the urban. The result is a unique atmosphere: a bar that not only evokes the history of the capital, but also celebrates the energy of contemporary Lima.
